Fairhaven Blues

A novel by Stephen Emmett

He wanted only to play the blues.

With guitar in hand, Vic Bellow pursues the music he loves. After joining The Willie Shaw Blues Band, he thinks he has arrived. But as his adventure takes him to the honky-tonks of the south, he realizes he must create his own music.

Together, with his singing partner Sean, a new band is formed. Vic experiences the exuberance and heartache as the music of the blues implies. Then our young man discovers life's harmony has been in his heart all along.

The Stephen Emmett Show

I play whatever I want to play. No format, no genre, no corporate playlist. That's how underground radio worked in the late '60s and early '70s, and it's how this show works now. Expect fifties and sixties rock and roll, soul, country, folk, and whatever else I'm in the mood to hear, usually built around a theme. Saturdays, 5 to 6 p.m., on KSDP 830 AM.
